FIT TWENTY THREE

Man. Did you know this is a volcano? That's neat.

Man. Did you know this is a volcano? That's neat.

A day late. Man. I was on a good run there. But I'll make up for it. That's sortof how I felt about bikes yesterday too. I got to ride with Cory yesterday, for the first time in over a month and a half.

It felt cathartic. I mean, it also felt, tiring… hah. But holy hell my brain needed it. My mental health is tied to cycling and exercise and it's so easy to forget when you have a very full schedule, as well as when a pandemic shuts down the gyms and snow shuts out trails on you.

I have to admire Cory though, he's been training six days a week through all the snow we had up in Squamish. Nerves of steel that guy, but he also understands how bike racers and cyclists like us function better as humans with our regular dose of bicycles.

Anyways. That's all to say I went on a bike ride, somehow even when I was dying sixteen tiny deaths on Cory’s wheel, my brain kicked over some great ideas (my best thinking is always on the bike or at the skatepark) and when I got home I basically turned into a potato and forgot my daily update mission. Whatever. A day late every now and again is okay. This whole thing was to make creative time and space for my mental health (and also exercising my creative brain) so if I dropped one day to be in my other happy place, man that's alright.
