FIT FIVE

It's alright.

It's alright.

I rode bikes today. If you know me, that shouldn't sound like a big deal. I ride bikes all the time. But I haven't rode for a month. Okay okay. I rode rollers at home the last two nights (which I secretly loved, because I don't even know the last time I rolled on my fast road bike) but today I rode outside.

Trying to find routines again is a real challenge. And when I start work again on Monday keeping a routine of riding is going to be real. As usual, I have sortof high ambitions for how much I can get done while simultaneously working 60 hours Monday-Friday. I know I won't have much time to really get fast while on the show, but I want to see if I can at least keep up on group rides when I'm able to join them in the summer.

Anyways. I had just straight old fun on the bike today. But like, sortof Type 2 Fun. As I've alluded, I'm not fit, so riding through rutted snow on the Squamish Spit road was actually physically hard for me and I'm not exactly a CX rider used to riding through ruts. But it was fun! I like fun. And I actually do enjoy snow. Especially when it's actually floofy nice snow because it's -7° out. Legitimately I was warmer than 4° and rain rides. That said. I'm looking forward to cleared roads and being on the road and trails again.
